MWC TOURNAMENT

Wyoming Cowboys Beat yhe New Mexico Lobos to reach the semi finals. Can they beat The University of Utah Runnin Utes. The last two games of the season they lost to Utah and New Mexico by a combined 3pts. This is Fantastic I think that they can beat Utah if the bring their defence. Brandon Ewing who will be a point guard in the NBA. Brandon is the all time leading scorer in the breif history of the MWC.

Tyler Johnson has been great for Wyoming I hate to see him and Brando Ewings days at U.W. come to an end. Freshman Adam MUOJEKE and the other players are going to have to turn the scoreing up and try to lock Utah down if Utah is held under 60 pts. Wyoming will move on to face the winner of BYU and San Diego State. these 2 teams seem to match up well against each other. Look for BYU to use their big men to try to shut down or contain San Diego State. This year has been crazy in the MWC.

I honestly was surprised at Brandon Ewing and Tyler Johnson and how they lead this team it has been up at the beggining and tough, tough, in confrence play but evidently the 3rd time was a charm to get by New Mexico. It is going to take the Cowboys to win the Mountain Weat Tournament to get into the field of 64 or the big dance. Cowboys play like you did last night and you will make it. No matter what the people of Wyoming are proud of the way you guys have never given up. It would have been easy to just fold under the pressure and tuck the tail between the leg and go home but you fought.

To Tyler Johnson and Brandon Ewing it has truley been a pleasure to watch you guys play. I for one have enjoyed the breif time that you guys played at the University of Wyoming.

Wyomings Woes

With a heavy heart I listened to the Wyoming cowboys go down to both BYU and the New Mexico Lobo's what a bummer. For a season that started out with high expectations only to finish with a dissapointing 18-12 record. The only recourse left is to win the Mountain West Tournament. With a 3-way tie atop the Mountain West standings congradulations go out to the Top 3 in confrence

UTAH UTES

BYU COUGARS

NEW MEXICO LOBOS

Tournament chances

Right now I do not see the Cowboys in the big dance at all. I thought the only way they could make it was to beat both BYU and New Mexico and they let Cuummard from BYU do what ever he wanted in that last game. Brandon Ewing can not do it all by himself. I thought we would get a lot more senior leadership out of this team. Ogirri's 25 points was nice but not if the defense is non existent. now the Lobos are a good team and should make the field of 64. But Wyoming can show some moxey and beat New Mexico and make a true cinderella story out of the Mountain West Tournament and win it. I hope these men can do it it has been done before lets start with a victory over the New Mexico Lobos.

Mountain West

I hope all the Mountian West confrence teams the best of luck in the upcoming tourney. With that said SanDiego St. New Mexico. UNLV. BYU are all splits with the Wyoming Cowboys. Just wondering if any one reads this. But the issue that needs to be addressed is playing the League Tournament at UNLV's home court the Thomas and Mack center. I hope our commishioners are not all tired out from the trip to Washington D.C fighting for our rights to join the almighty BCS. Now the Mountain West confrence might not be as strong as the Big East or ACC in basketball. However we should still have a good showing in the NCAA tournement. Yes the Big 12 and SEC have shown us some good ball play as of late. Also you can not count out the likes of Davidson possibly Dayton. there are to many good schools to mention. So why does the NCAA have a tournement every year so there is no doubt that we have a true National Champion. What a novel Idea a championship that is decided on the court. Not by a few stuffed shirts that try to keep all the so called mid majors locked out of the BCS

Basketball

I hope that the Wyoming Cowboys use these last couple weeks to get ready for tourney time where any thing can and does happen. I know it is not a good thing to have to play on UNLV's home court. New Mexico Lobo's and BYU along with UNLV will be the favored teams it just seems to happen that way every year. But Wyoming could very well be in the hunt for that NCAA bid. I just wish that I could watch some of the games on the tube but dish network does not carry the Mountain broadcasts. It would be great to see the Cowboys and Utah Utes in the final with the Cowboys winning of course. But no matter I wish the Cowboys well in the Mountain West Tourney GO POKES.
